PLANT OPERATIONS

The founders' experiences and expertise are in wastewater, contaminated soil remediation, and applied separation science. Today we bring that application knowledge to the operation of client-owned treatment facilities providing services 24 hours a day. Descriptions of Chapman's projects follow:

Contaminated groundwater control and treatment. We operate and maintain physical, biological and chemical treatment systems including: activated sludge, sequencing batch reactors, recovery systems with fiber optic links, metals removal, and carbon absorption. At one plant we operate, the surface water discharge permit limits are stricter than that of drinking water. Free product oil recovery As part of our operation and maintenance contracts we have recovered a wide variety of oil types from diesel fuel to highly viscous oils with specific gravities greater than 1.0 including oils containing PCB's.
	Brownfield industrial site development. Near Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, Chapman performed PCB oil recovery, extended aeration and physical chemical waste water treatment operations. In addition, Chapman provides inspection services for sewage lift stations, spill response, and storm water discharge monitoring. Landfill closure – landfill leachate treatment and gas control. Chapman Inc. operates and maintains landfill leachate collection and treatment systems as well as landfill gas control systems – reducing greenhouse gas.
Private sanitary systems. We operate and maintain systems for sanitary wastes including package plants and "on-site" treatment. Operation and maintenance manual preparation. Chapman, Inc. prepares operation and maintenance manuals for client facilities that we are contracted to operate and maintain.
